The University of Turin (UNITO) is a university in the city of Turin in the Piedmont region of north-western Italy. The University of Turin was founded as a studium in 1404, under the initiative of Prince Ludovico di Savoia. The University is divided into 55 departments that are located in 13 faculties: Faculty of Agriculture; Faculty of Economics; Faculty of Education; Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature; Faculty of Law; Faculty of Letters and Philosophy; Faculty of Mathematical, Physics and Natural Sciences; Faculty of Medicine and Surgery; Second Faculty of Medicine and Surgery "St. Luigi Gonzaga"; Faculty of Pharmacy; Faculty of Political Sciences; Faculty of Psychology; Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
