About Southern University of Science and Technology:

Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech, Chinese: 南方科技大学) is a public research university established in 2011 in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. According to the Chinese Ministry of Education, SUS Tech is a platform where Chinese higher education reform. The governments of the city of Shenzhen and Guangdong province are investing heavily in the university. It is working towards becoming a world-class university excelling in interdisciplinary research, nurturing innovative talents and delivering new knowledge to the world. Despite being a public university, SUS Tech is administered and partly funded by Shenzhen Municipal Government instead of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
