Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) is a public research university in the cities of Erlangen and Nuremberg in Bavaria, Germany. The University is founded by Margrave Friedrich of Brandenburg-Bayreuth in 1743, and expanded by Margrave Alexander in 1769. That’s how the name Friedrich-Alexander comes from. FAU now have five faculties.
